your in for a big surprise!

Welcome to the acornforest project! We were fed up with all the 'great green pretenders' out there, the companies who have just jumped on the green band wagon because its the buzz word of the moment! So in typical acornhomes fashion we're doing our bit, eh...a bit differently!  We've invested in 70 acres of sustainably managed woodland in Co. Fermanagh! We really are as green as gorilla snot!

The acornforest is a new, exciting and entirely unique way to off set the carbon that is invariably produced as a result of our commercial operations on site. Not only does it feel great to be doing our bit for the environment, but more importantly our customers can sleep soundly at night in their acornhomes with an environmentally clear conscience!

Do you know that in its lifetime a tree will absorb 730kgs of carbon, clever trees!

For each and every property we construct, whether its a home or an office, we make a contribution to the acornforest, so as the company grows so does the forest! We think its a neat and very sustainable idea! And not only do the tress gobble up lots of nasty Co2, but they also provide a fantastic natural habitat for birds, bees, butterflies and bears! (honestly bears!)

The acornforest is located high on a mountain called Lattone, overlooking Lough Melvin in the heart of the County Fermanagh countryside. The trees are a mix of both native broad leaf and Scandinavian conifer some of which will reach maturity in the next fifteen years. The forest is sustainably managed and as trees are harvested they are replaced with new whips and saplings.

Look out for the acornforest logo on all our new properties!
